Has anyone ever said, “You’re full of hot air?” Next time just tell them that hot air is what makes balloons fly.

Every day in a desert north of Phoenix, hot air balloons take to the skies.

During a trip to Arizona, I was fortunate to take my wife on a hot air balloon flight. As carefree as we were once airborne, it wasn’t without struggle getting to that point. It took 4 different days of flight attempts to be able to soar above the mountains. This collection has a mix of photos from our flight and from our false starts. I hope you enjoy this collection, and remember: “It’s a dry heat!”
